Goalies are good, defense fair, poor shooter equals very few goals!  =losses.  Great rink; so what is missing?

CR, are your comments directed at the women's team?  This is the women's team thread after all... as they are 15-4 it's hard to complain too much.  If you're referring to the men that's a different story that should be taken up elsewhere...

Having started 2017 with 4 losses and one tie, the question is how "beat up" this team will be after going through this vaunted gauntlet over the past two weeks. Given the perspective of WHOC's history, the youth of this team and the growing stature of this program, I'm still optimistic about the long term. I am aware that now this team is realistically fighting for a #5 or #6 slot in the ECAC Tourney ( an outside chance at #4 because Q'Pac and P'ton have two more games than everyone else. )

These women willl have to suck it up and face the hurdles that their long season presents. We knew it was likely that this team would face some tough curves in the road. Here we are.

Great win yesterday.  More of the same today I hope.  Game should be free online.

Only eight games left before the ECAC Tourney. At 16-7-3, every game is critical for Gate. If they can re-group, come Tourney time, it's likely that they'll be vying with the top 5 teams identified earlier in the year: Clarkson, St. Lawrence, Cornell, Q'pac and Princeton. I firmly believe Gate belongs in that group. But, it doesn't seem, at this juncture, that they can beat these teams with any regularity. Realistically the question is whether tourney quarters play will find them home or ( @ ) on the road with one of these teams, as a potential  4 through 6 seed ? http://www.ecachockey.com/women/2016-17/standings

At this point, I would be reassured about my optimistic long term outlook for the program by a very strong regular season finish. I'd consider it a sign that this young team is capable of growing from adversity.

Losses @ Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend would not be a step in that direction.
